Real Parents' Voices
"While visiting Oklahoma, I had the opportunity to visit with Pastors Robbie and Jan Turner and several other members. One member was even assigned to answer any questions I might have after attending my first Sunday service at Harmony Worship Center Church. This was Zach Britton. He told me of his own experience and introduction to Harmony Worship Center, then introduced me to his fiance, Tammy. All was pleasant; I enjoyed my coffee and cookies, as well as Zach's relaxed and informative conversation. I find the charges recently leveled against the pastors and his wife Tammy Britton, very disturbing. They also seem quite out of character for all parties involved. I have visited with each of them during more than one trip to the Tulsa area and have never seen nor heard anything that would indicate the type of behavior I heard described in the local news media. Actually, what I have seen is that individually and corporately, these people are good neighbors, active in service to the community and have generally been very well thought of by their employers. Whether in person, or on the telephone, the leadership at Harmony Worshiup Center Church consistently makes it clear that their primary concern is the well being of each and every member . . . changed lives, to the glory of God . . . and I have been privileged to see many positive changes in the lives of their communicants. These changes were made possible by the grace of God and by the prayer and support these people offer one another. . . . It is especially important therefore, to determine that we not allow media hype or mass hysteria to affect our judgment. We must maintain our focus strictly on the facts, as presented, in this case. I am certain this can lead only in one direction . . . complete exoneration for all concerned."
"It is every mother's dream that their children develop in every area of their lives. My daughter moved to the United States (The Land of the Free), looking for a better future and opportunities. Everyone knows that every beginning can be tough. When she moved to the U.S. things were very tough for her until she found Harmony Worship Center Church. There are no words to express how thankful I am for the help and support that the church provided for her. She was looking for a job for six months and received one through the church's help and Pastor Jan teaching her how to dress and prepare for an interview. It is because of HWCC, my daughter now works for one of the United States top 100 companies. I have also received spiritual food from the church whenever she sends me notes taken at church services. My reason for writing this letter is because I believe it is a sin against God to speak and defame the name of HWCC and its leaders. How could a place where my daughter have found refuge, life and strength be taken away by the hands of liars such as, Zach Britton, Inez Fontaine and Chris Smith, who are jealous of the ministry and the leaders of HWCC?"
"Harmony Worship has been the best thing that happened to my daughter. The pastors are wonderful. . . .If it wasn't for Harmony, I don't know what would have happened to my daughter. . . .Thank you soo much Harmony Worship for being there when my daughter needed to find her way when she was lost. By me being a mother I have watched her grow and mature to become a strong young lady in Christ." (Aug. 14, 2003)
"Dear Son and Daughter, thank you for all the insights and understanding you poured into my life. Thank you for caring for me and treating me so very special in every way. I also thank you for honoring God with the first fruits of your time every morning. . . .Thank you for taking me to church - I appreciated hearing and seeing Pastors Robbie and Jan and the others, and basking in God's presence and hearing the Word being preached so honestly and truthfully. It was a relaxing, refreshing, and happy time for me - my heart is at rest." (Sept. 7, 2003)
"I have noticed the change in my daughter's life over the years since she became a member of Harmony Worship Center Church - changes for the better. Her devotion to God is stronger and deeper; she has become more stable and responsible as an adult. We are so impressed with the daily devotions that she has been sharing with the family via email. We are thankful for the brethen that have stood with her during her low times. While we were in Tulsa last year I admired how the pastors took interest in the well-being of the brethren. I thank God for them and the love they have for us. I pray that God will continue to bless and prosper them." (Sept. 10, 2003)
"It is never easy living in a foreign country but I praise God for the friends you have found at Harmony and the Pastors who have taken you under their wings to love and care for you. We truly thank God for them and the way they have treated you just as well as we would. When we visited Tulsa last year and chatted with Pastor Robbie and his wife, we felt so at ease in their new home. Pastor Robbie and I chatted a lot as he gave me a guided tour through the house. He was so warm and sincere in his desires to help people and care for the flock of Christ. I saw another side of him as we chatted and as he spoke about riding his mower late at night. We seem to have some things in common." (Sept. 10, 2003)
"I was very concerned about my daughter's spiritual growth. Months later, I found out that I was wrong because she told me that the Lord had directed her to a faithful church (Harmony Worship Center Church) under the leadership of Pastors Robbie and Jan Turner. Three years later, around Easter 2002, I visited . . . in Tulsa and attended Easter Sunday service at HWCC. There I had the opportunity to meet both Pastors Robbie and Jan in person. One of the first things I remember noticing was the power and diversity of the church. The church was "very friendly". The atmosphere of the church was open and safe for newcomers." (Sept. 15, 2003)
"A few years back, when my son was in school at ORU, he began attending services at Harmony. He was very excited about his newfound friends. He also began to take God's Word more seriously. It wasn't long before we began to see him mature spiritually. We accredited this to the teachings he was receiving from Harmony. My husband and I attended services at Harmony whenever we visited Tulsa. We enjoyed the spiritual freedon to worship, as well as the fellowship of the members and the pastors." (Sept. 24, 2003)
"My daughter is a member of Harmony Church. She has been following after our Lord Jesus Christ for sometime now. I can see nor hear any changes in her that would lead me to believe that she is not still following hard after our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ only at Harmony. She is truly Christ-like." (Sept. 26, 2003)
"My son who was a whore and con was transformed by the teachings of the pastors of Harmony Worship. He is now faithful to one one wife and a wonderful father of two. I am so grateful for the day that the Lord opened doors of truth - the doors of Harmony. (Oct. 3, 2003)
"My husband and I have always strive to serve the Lord. During our son's adolescent years and even early college years he was far from the Lord. We hoped and prayed that attending a Christian university like ORU would help, but only saw the same behaviors escalate. It wasn't until his junior year that our prayers were answered. He put away his party hat and reached for a Bible. He left his party friends to hook up with the Body of Christ. The friends I was so concerned about were suddenly laid aside so that he could truly follow Christ. At first I was in shock that our long hours of prayer had been answered, but I remember the Lord saying "marvel not." Our son spoke of a church that was real and that taught the Word of God in a practical manner. He was excited to relate the account of his first visit and the consequent services he had attended. His excitement was so out of character that we were excited to visit this church family. During one of our visits my husband was miraculously healed of cancer. Several biopsies including one from Mayo Clinic confirmed that there was not a trace of cancer to be found. At Harmony Worship Center Church, God is real. (Oct. 7, 2003)
"When our son left for Oral Roberts University in 1997, he couldn't say two words to anybody. We were proud to see that he could hook up with a group of people who were hungry after the things of God and truly submit himself under Godly leadership. Now he is a brilliant and successful righteous man who will be taking up the responsibilities of a husband to a beautiful righteous woman of God. We know that Harmony Worship Center Church has been instrumental in his growth and maturity. May those who would dare oppose such a place receive their just reward." (Oct. 10, 2003)
"May mother Mary and all the saints of our risen Savior bless this fine church from all hurt, harm, and danger. As a real parent I would know if my son and daughter were in any danger because unlike these accusers we have a strong relationship that has always existed. And I therefore never felt threatened by the love that my children who are adults have for their pastors. Shame on you Brittons and Hupps and ex-members of the real church. May the God of peace soon crush Satan underneath Harmony Worship Center Church's feet. Blessed be Santa Maria." (Oct. 12, 2003)
